The hot summer days ahead are perfect for the finest, creamiest bites, and the timeless Italian classic seems to have a thousand different faces. Well chilled, delicate, aromatic, and incredibly rich, panna cotta is everything we need this season.

The truth is - it brings the sea straight to our plate. This slightly exotic combination truly feeds all the senses. Refreshing and inspiring, it makes the imagination wander across distant corners of the world. Luxurious and endlessly attractive both in aroma and appearance, it is the perfect choice for adding a touch of magic to tropical evenings.

Dear people, smiling faces, the perfect dessert, and a glass of fine wine - that is the kind of tenderness we deserve.

The preparation is simple, and imagination is all you really need. The beauty of panna cotta lies in its versatility, so you can always serve it differently and create a completely new experience.

Panna Cotta with Goat Milk, Coconut, and Lemon

Ingredients

  • 1 liter heavy cream
  • 300 ml goat milk
  • 5 tablespoons sugar + 1 packet vanilla-lemon sugar
  • *1 organic lemon
  • 3 tablespoons coconut flakes
  • 2 packets of gelatin

Preparation

In a deep saucepan, combine the heavy cream, goat milk, sugar, vanilla-lemon sugar, finely grated lemon zest, and coconut flakes.

If you cannot find an untreated organic lemon, it is better to skip the zest entirely and enhance the aroma with an extra packet of vanilla-lemon sugar instead.

Heat the mixture gently over medium heat, stirring constantly.

In a separate bowl, add the gelatin to 200 ml of cold water, stir well, and let it bloom.

Continue stirring the panna cotta mixture until it is close to boiling, but do not allow it to boil.

Once the dessert base is ready, remove the saucepan from the heat, add the bloomed gelatin, and stir gently until everything is fully combined.

Pour the dessert into serving glasses, place them in the refrigerator, and allow the panna cotta to cool and set completely.

As a bonus suggestion, you can prepare a light lemon cream to pour over the top, or simply serve it, as I did this time, with fresh berries from the garden.

As mentioned, imagination plays the leading role in this dessert. Let yourself enjoy it.
