Jeep has unveiled the refreshed Grand Cherokee, featuring a modernized design, a restyled cabin, and an all-new turbocharged engine. Following the return of the Cherokee and the redesign of the Grand Wagoneer, Jeep continues its wave of updates.
This time, it’s the Grand Cherokee’s turn — and for 2026, the SUV gets a number of major upgrades.
Starting with the exterior, the model now sports a completely redesigned front end, featuring Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille, which is now slimmer and more refined.
The headlights have also been redesigned, following the brand’s evolving design language.

Changes at the rear are more subtle but include new chrome accents, a redesigned rear bumper, and a trio of fresh body colors — Copper Shino, Fathom Blue, and Steel Blue.
The updates continue inside. The biggest improvement comes in the form of a new 12.3-inch infotainment display, a noticeable upgrade from the previous 8.4- and 10.1-inch units.
There are also new control switches, a more modern center console, and a redesigned instrument panel, all contributing to a more premium feel.

Jeep has streamlined the lineup, which now includes three core trim levels — Laredo, Limited, and Summit.
Still, the list of optional packages remains extensive, and the Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid continues to be offered in Limited, Summit, and Trailhawk variants.
The base model now rides on new 18-inch aluminum wheels with chrome accents, while the standard safety suite features automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and active lane keeping.
Higher trims add premium touches such as a panoramic sunroof, a nine-speaker Alpine audio system, and Nappa or Palermo leather seats with heating, ventilation, and even massage functions, reports B92.net.
For the most demanding buyers, there’s also a McIntosh sound system with 19 speakers.
Both the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L retain the proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, producing 296 hp (218 kW) and 352 Nm of torque.
However, the big news is the introduction of the 2.0-liter Hurricane Turbo 4 engine with Turbulent Jet Ignition technology.
This new powerplant delivers 337 hp (248 kW) and 450 Nm of torque, while Jeep claims it offers best-in-class range — up to 814 kilometers (506 miles) — and can tow up to 2,812 kilograms (6,200 pounds).

For those seeking greater efficiency, Jeep offers the Grand Cherokee 4xe hybrid.
It combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 17.3 kWh battery, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The system delivers a total output of 381 hp (280 kW) and 637 Nm of torque, offering both strong performance and improved fuel efficiency.
The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee is set to hit the market later this year, with full technical specifications and pricing to be announced soon.
