A Spectacle at Kastel Fortress: Recondite and Patrice Bäumel Set to Perform in Banja Luka

[object Object]

This summer, the historic Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka will once again serve as a meeting point for world-class electronic music, regional live acts, and festivalgoers from across Southeast Europe.

With the announcement of its final two artists - German live performer Recondite and acclaimed Dutch DJ and producer Patrice Bäumel - the Freshwave Festival has completed one of the region's most compelling and diverse lineups.

The addition of Recondite is set to delight fans of melodic and immersive electronic music. Renowned for his deeply emotional live performances, the German producer has built an international reputation through releases on influential labels including Innervisions, Ghostly International and his own Plangent Records. Rather than relying on a fixed setlist, Recondite crafts each live set in real time, responding to the venue's atmosphere and the audience's energy, making every appearance a unique musical journey.

Bringing a different dynamic to the festival is Patrice Bäumel, one of the most respected figures on Amsterdam's electronic music scene. A former resident of the legendary Trouw nightclub and now a regular guest at major festivals around the world, Bäumel is celebrated for his ability to blend melodic house and techno into emotionally charged, hypnotic sets. His productions, released through renowned labels such as Afterlife, Kompakt and Get Physical, have become staples in the playlists of leading DJs worldwide.

Where Electronic Music Meets Regional Live Performances

This year's Freshwave Festival remains true to the concept that has established its reputation over the past decade - bringing together internationally acclaimed electronic artists with some of the most exciting names from the contemporary regional music scene.

The electronic lineup also features Coeus, Denis Sulta, Fiona Kraft, Sam Paganini and Sébastien Léger, alongside respected regional artists including Mene, Mladen Tomić, Nebs Jack and Siniša Tamamović.

Complementing the electronic programme is a powerful live music lineup featuring Buč Kesidi, Elemental, Grše, Let 3, Vojko V, Z++ and Zoster, further reinforcing the festival's commitment to musical diversity and cross-genre programming.

A Festival That Has Outgrown Its Borders

Over the years, Freshwave Festival has evolved into one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's leading music events, attracting visitors from across Europe. The unique combination of the centuries-old Kastel Fortress, carefully curated lineups and increasingly ambitious production has transformed the festival into one of the region's standout summer music destinations.

Festival passes are currently on sale, with Regular, VIP and On Stage ticket options available, along with special group packages.
