Šavnik isn't a town that receives art the way it might receive a guest who leaves again after a few days. This August, art arrived here differently - on walls, meadows, hills and squares, woven into the river, the morning mist, and the lives of people who know this place's daily rhythm far better than any festival crowd ever could. Four days of the second edition of the Two Suns Art Festival showed what contemporary art looks like when, instead of gallery walls, it's given an entire town.

Flames on the neck. Red peppers, cauldrons, devils. On the face, a river, flamingos, and Eve picking an apple. Angels across the forehead. For her meeting with the HEDONIST magazine team, Mila Prosan from Prnjavor chose to adorn herself with details inspired by the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch.

In the fifth issue of HEDONIST Magazine, published in 2021, we spoke with Jelena Medić, an artist whose black-and-white photographs replaced the colorful chaos of election campaign posters. We bring this story from the HEDONIST archive as a reminder of narratives that remain relevant - and which now receive their online premiere.
